We tend to only show the good stuff. You know, picture number 13 out of the 100 we took for the perfect selfie. That perfect “candid” but really super staged picture of our perfectly clean kids. 🙄. You get the point. I promised when “T & Me” first started that I wouldn’t be that person. I’d post the great picture but I’d post real ones too. I’ll be honest, posting these videos is absolutely TERRIFYING (so be nice). There’s no makeup, no spanx, no filters, etc. Just me.
I told myself this year, if I didn’t do anything else, I’d at the very least not quit on myself. It’s so easy to say “I don’t have time” or “I’m just too busy”. Now, I can only speak for myself but I always seem to find the time for what my family needs. (I can’t be the only one!) So why can’t I find the time for my own???
Last year, I embarked on this fitness journey as I prepared for a girl’s trip. I did GREAT. We all did! We trained, we ate well, and we went on the trip (and looked BOMB might I add ). Then….we came back and made excuses as to why we were completely slacking. We quit on ourselves. NOT. THIS. YEAR.
Last year, I participated in 3 rounds of #RI28 and had great results. This year, I’ve decided to pick it back up. Yes, I want to look great and be comfortable in my own skin. But, more importantly, I want to feel good. I want to be around for my family and be able to enjoy them.
Posting these videos will keep me accountable. Posting these videos will remind me to find the time. And maybe, if I’m lucky, posting these videos will inspire you to remember yourself.
Until next time,
